The Pride of West Texas Show Chorus held our annual Officer Installation Banquet to celebrate our accomplishments of 2024 and to install new officers for the new fiscal year. One of the highlights of our banquet is the announcement of Sweet Adeline of the Year. This honor goes to the member who best exemplifies commitment to the Sweet Adelines organization and our local chorus through her attendance and work on various committees. After nominations are accepted, Sweet Adeline of the Year is elected by a secret ballot of the entire Pride of West Texas Show Chorus membership.
The 2025 Sweet Adeline of the Year is Alexa Brown. Alexa has been a Pride of West Texas Show Chorus member for three years. She sings tenor, currently serves as one of the assistant directors, and is the Performance Committee chair. Alexa is currently working through the Sweet Adelines Director Certification Program and hopes to complete it in the next few months.
